Five Compatibility Checks That Prevent Accessory Problems On Site

1. Panel return vs. bracket geometry

The cassette return, rail profile and bracket position must physically align. A small geometry mismatch repeated over an elevation becomes a large installation problem.

2. Fastener material vs. corrosion exposure

Exterior, coastal, humid or industrial environments can change the required fastener and bracket protection. Dissimilar-metal interfaces may also need isolation.

3. Sealant vs. ACP coating

Sealant adhesion and staining behavior should be checked against the actual coated aluminum surface, primer and cleaning method—not assumed from a generic datasheet.

4. Thermal movement vs. hole/fixing strategy

Large elevations move. Slotted holes, oversized holes, sliding points or proprietary clips may be used so the cladding can accommodate movement without overstressing panels or fixings.

5. Accessory finish vs. visible reveal

In open-joint architecture, rails, splines and shadow gaps can become part of the façade appearance. Their color and continuity should be treated as design elements where visible.
