Copper color is not one fixed shade
Warm reddish copper, muted bronze-copper, bright rose-copper and weathered-copper directions can read very differently under daylight and warm interior lighting.
Specify a copper finish aluminum composite panel by its complete visual and technical build: copper tone, metallic or brushed character, gloss, coating, aluminum skins, core, panel thickness, dimensions and sample approval. DERACP supports project buyers, façade contractors, fabricators and distributors with configurable copper ACP panel solutions for exterior and interior applications.
A copper finish aluminum composite panel is an ACP / ACM sheet engineered to create a copper-colored or copper-inspired surface while retaining the familiar lightweight, flat and fabricable composite-panel format. Depending on the required appearance, the visible face may be specified as metallic copper, brushed copper, mirror-like rose copper, aged-copper inspired or a custom copper color direction.
For purchasing: do not order only by the words “copper ACP panel.” Record the intended copper tone, surface family, gloss, coating, panel thickness, front/back aluminum skins, core, width × length, quantity, installation orientation and approved physical sample in the same specification.
Warm reddish copper, muted bronze-copper, bright rose-copper and weathered-copper directions can read very differently under daylight and warm interior lighting.
A painted metallic effect, a linear brushed texture and a reflective mirror-style surface should be treated as separate finish families because their directionality and maintenance expectations differ.
Panel thickness, aluminum skin gauge, core, coating and sheet size determine how the panel behaves in fabrication, installation and service. Finish selection should not hide those structural decisions.
/up/pic/ path. Use physical samples to confirm the exact copper hue and texture for production.A copper look cladding panel can be designed to feel polished and contemporary, softly metallic, linear and brushed, or intentionally aged. The correct choice depends on how the façade or interior should react to light and how much visual variation the design accepts.
DERACP publishes configurable ACP directions including multiple panel thicknesses, aluminum-skin ranges, PE / PVDF coating options, LDPE and fire-rated core directions, and project-adjusted dimensions. The table below is a selection framework rather than a universal project specification; final values, tolerances, reports and availability should be confirmed for the exact order.
| Specification item | Useful starting direction | What the buyer should confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Overall panel thickness | Common DERACP discussions span approximately 2.5–6 mm by product family. | End use, rigidity target, fabrication method and project specification. |
| Aluminum skin | DERACP publishes different gauges across product grades. | State front and back skin separately; do not infer skin gauge from total thickness. |
| Core | PE / LDPE and fire-retardant directions can be discussed. | Required fire classification, exact test method, report scope and local project rules. |
| Surface / coating | PE, PVDF and decorative finish directions are available across the range. | Interior vs exterior exposure, UV/weathering requirement, gloss, cleaning and color approval. |
| Sheet dimensions | 1220 × 2440 mm is a common reference format; custom dimensions may be reviewed. | Module yield, handling, fabrication equipment, packing and shipping limits. |
| Copper finish | Metallic, brushed, reflective or custom copper-look direction. | Physical sample, finish direction, gloss, undertone and acceptable production tolerance. |
The search term “copper panel” can refer to very different materials. A copper color ACM is not the same thing as a sheet with natural copper as its exposed metal. This distinction should be made early so appearance, weathering expectations, fabrication, maintenance and budget are compared on the right basis.
| Question | Copper-look aluminum composite panel | Natural copper / copper-faced material |
|---|---|---|
| Visual intent | Designed to reproduce a controlled copper color or copper-inspired surface. | Uses real copper appearance and may change naturally with exposure depending on the material/system. |
| Color consistency | Can be managed around coating batch, direction and approved sample. | Natural metal variation and aging behavior can be part of the architectural intent. |
| Fabrication | Uses familiar ACP routing, cutting and folding workflows when the chosen construction is suitable. | Fabrication depends on the exact copper sheet or composite construction. |
| Specification priority | Finish + coating + aluminum skins + core + panel thickness + sample approval. | Metal grade / thickness + backing or composite build + surface state + weathering behavior. |
If the project specifically requires a natural copper face rather than a copper-color coating, state that requirement explicitly in the RFQ so the material route is not confused with standard copper-look ACP.
Copper tones are useful when a project needs warmer metal color without making every surface highly reflective. The specification should still be driven by exposure, fire requirements, module size, fabrication and installation system.
For copper-look exterior elevations, coordinate coating, core, skin gauge, panel direction, joints, support system and required documentation.
Copper ACP can add warmth to reception areas, storefronts, columns, feature walls, counters and ceiling elements under controlled lighting.
Use brushed or metallic copper directions for lift surrounds, lobby walls, partitions and architectural accents where a refined metal character is required.
Copper color ACM can form sign backgrounds, fascia and display panels. Confirm routing, bonding, lettering and cleaning compatibility before production.
Provide a RAL/Pantone direction if relevant, a coated chip, architectural rendering, competitor sample or another physical reference. Explain whether “copper” means bright, reddish, bronze-like, brushed or aged.
Record total thickness, front/back aluminum skins, core, coating, width, length, quantity and visible side so the color sample represents the intended commercial build as closely as possible.
Review the physical sample in representative daylight and artificial light. If the surface is directional, mark installation orientation and preserve that direction through cutting and installation.
For weather-exposed cladding, discuss PVDF or another project-suitable coating together with climate, UV exposure, cleaning, joint design and façade-system requirements.
For projects with fire or material approvals, request documentation for the actual panel construction. Do not assume a report from a different core, thickness or system automatically applies.
For distributors and phased projects, use retained samples, finish codes, batch references, private-label film and packing marks to make repeat purchasing easier to control.
A copper ACP panel usually means an aluminum composite panel with a copper-colored or copper-inspired decorative face. It should be distinguished from a panel using natural copper as the exposed metal layer. Confirm the material construction and finish in the quotation.
It can be considered for exterior applications when the exact coating, aluminum skins, core, panel construction, façade system and project documentation are suitable for the exposure. For exterior work, coating and system requirements should be reviewed rather than selected by color alone.
Copper color ACM describes the color family. Brushed copper ACP adds a directional linear grain. A metallic copper coating can have a smoother sparkle effect, while a brushed finish has visible directional texture that should be kept consistent during fabrication and installation.
DERACP states that custom color and finish directions can be reviewed. For a color-sensitive project, provide the target code or physical reference and approve a production-relevant physical sample before bulk supply.
Send application, interior/exterior exposure, target copper appearance, coating, total panel thickness, front/back aluminum skins, core requirement, width × length, quantity, destination, protective film and packing requirements. Add the required test standard or fire classification where applicable.
Use an approved physical sample, define finish direction, keep panel orientation consistent, agree the production batch/acceptance method and plan replacement-panel references. Metallic and brushed surfaces can look different when adjacent sheets are rotated.
Include the application, copper tone or sample, surface family, panel thickness, aluminum skins, core, coating, sheet size, quantity and destination. For façade or regulated projects, include the required test/document scope as well.
