Panel material warranty
Relates to specified manufacturing defects and the integrity of the ACP construction. Ask whether core-to-aluminum separation or other defined bond failures are within scope.
How long is an ACP panel warranty? The useful answer goes beyond a number. Understand panel integrity, PVDF coating performance, exclusions, claim procedures and the documents to request before you place an architectural panel order.
DERACP warranty periods and remedies are not implied by this guide; only project-specific issued terms can establish coverage.

Core-to-skin bonding and manufacturing-related panel failure.
Defined coating behavior including fading, chalking and adhesion.
Who pays for materials, freight, fabrication and installation?
An ACP / ACM warranty is a written commitment with a defined product, period, performance scope and remedy. It is not automatically a guarantee that a facade will remain unchanged or maintenance-free throughout its service life.
There is no single standard warranty for every aluminum composite panel. Manufacturers may provide separate limited warranties for panel material and the factory-applied finish. Coverage depends on the specific coating, panel construction, exposure, installation conditions and certificate. Always compare what fails, how failure is measured and what the supplier will do—not just how many years appear in the headline.
DERACP can review the proposed coating, core, skin thickness, dimensions and environment. Ask for the applicable warranty document and its duration before order confirmation. This page itself is not a warranty certificate.

May define allowable color change, chalking, gloss loss, peeling or coating adhesion issues using agreed measurements and service conditions.
Fixings, subframes, waterproofing and site workmanship can fall under separate contractor or system-provider obligations—not necessarily the sheet manufacturer.
Across the aluminum composite materials market, published documents show different periods for different finishes and applications. The figures below illustrate how buyers should interpret warranty language; they are not DERACP warranty offers.
| Published warranty language | What the buyer should understand | What to request in writing |
|---|---|---|
| Panel material coverage | May be shorter than the painted finish term and focused on identified manufacturing defects. | Panel construction, qualifying defects, remedies and exclusions. |
| PE / polyester finish coverage | Often intended for more limited exposure or selected decorative uses; individual manufacturers set their own periods. | Indoor/outdoor eligibility, allowed environment and maintenance requirements. |
| PVDF ACP finish warranty | Architectural PVDF finish documents may carry longer periods when the approved system, color and site qualify. | Paint chemistry, measurable color / chalking criteria, marine limits and exact term. |
| Premium or specialty finish | Special colors, metallic effects, brushed, anodized or printed finishes may have different conditions from standard solid colors. | Finish-specific certificate and approved sample or color code. |
| “20-year” or “30-year” warranty | Years alone reveal nothing about material-only, prorated or repair-and-replace remedies. | Who covers labor, scaffolding, disposal, freight and reinstallation. |
Industry context: published manufacturer specifications include differing panel and finish terms; ALPOLIC promotes finish options up to 35 years, and other makers vary by specification and installation location. Do not transfer those claims to a DERACP order.
PVDF-coated aluminum composite panels are commonly selected for exposed facades because the finish is designed for weathering resistance. But “PVDF” is not a warranty certificate. Coating construction, color system, exposure and upkeep all affect what a manufacturer can substantiate.

Industry warranties frequently contain application and maintenance conditions. These are due-diligence questions, not a statement of DERACP's contractual exclusions.
Marine atmosphere, sea-spray intensity and distance from the shoreline may require special finish evaluation or written approval.
Acidic deposits, airborne contaminants and process emissions can affect coating suitability and cleaning requirements.
Routing, folding, sealant contact, fastener choice, edge protection and drainage details should follow approved instructions.
Water trapped between sheets, damaged film, improper stacking and mechanical impacts can introduce avoidable surface defects.
Aggressive solvents, abrasive pads, harsh chemicals or neglect of suitable cleaning intervals may alter coating condition.
Panel supply, dismantling, scaffolding, fabrication, freight and reinstall costs may not be treated as one covered item.
A photo can demonstrate appearance, but it cannot verify a warranty. Approval should connect the visual reference to a traceable coating, core, aluminum-skin build and project documentation.

For facade contractors, developers, architects and import distributors, a defensible warranty starts with complete purchase specifications rather than an isolated marketing claim.
Country, city, facade orientation, building height, marine or industrial exposure and intended use.
Coating type, color, face/back aluminum skins, core, panel thickness, format and any fire-code requirement.
Applicable technical data, sample approval, batch identifiers, coating reports where available and written warranty terms.
Effective date, owner eligibility, exclusions, claims process and responsibility for material or replacement costs.
DERACP describes more than 20 years of ACP manufacturing experience and offers project-based choices for coatings, colors, core options, panel dimensions and export packing. For a warranty-sensitive purchase, those capabilities are most useful when every approved choice appears in the order documents.
Specific tests, tolerances and any warranty commitment must be confirmed for the quoted panel—not inferred from general factory capabilities.

An inspection record helps the project team separate coating issues, panel manufacturing defects, handling damage and installation-related causes. The actual claims procedure and eligibility are controlled by the issued warranty, if any.
Record the building, elevation, orientation, date observed, panel quantities and whether unaffected panels from the same lot remain available for comparison.
Photograph overall areas, close-up symptoms and the surroundings. Where specified, use recognized color, gloss or coating measurements instead of relying on a phone photo alone.
Keep approved samples, datasheets, order confirmation, invoice, batch details, installation records and the signed warranty document.
Check who can submit a claim, deadlines for notice, inspection access, remedies and any obligation to avoid further damage during investigation.
Clear answers for architects, facade contractors, purchasing teams and buyers comparing ACM warranties.
There is no universal aluminum composite panel warranty period. The term depends on the manufacturer, panel construction, finish, project location and written certificate. Confirm any DERACP warranty duration in the project-specific quotation or issued document.
Where provided, a PVDF finish warranty may address defined paint-performance issues such as excessive color change, chalking, gloss loss or adhesion failure, subject to the written thresholds, test methods, duration and exclusions.
Not necessarily. Failure of the bond between an aluminum skin and its core concerns panel integrity, whereas fading relates to the coating. Confirm separate scopes, proof requirements and remedies.
No. The number of years does not tell you whether dismantling, fabrication, transport and installation labor are included. Some industry warranties cover only material or provide prorated remedies. Read the actual certificate.
Not automatically. Salt, industrial chemicals, pollution, cleaning regimes and distance from marine exposure may influence eligibility and exclusions. Disclose the site conditions and obtain project-specific written confirmation.
Send the project location, exterior or interior application, required panel build-up, coating and color, quantity, maintenance exposure and desired warranty scope through DERACP's Request A Quote page. Ask for the applicable written terms before purchase.
Tell us your project country, application, coating, color, thickness, core, quantity and required documentation. Ask our team to confirm the warranty conditions applicable to your specified panels.
