Selection of aluminium
Aluminium is the main base material in aluminium composite panels. From the point of view of use, aluminium plays a role in strengthening the support of the aluminium composite panel and is in contact with the surrounding environment through the coating. Therefore, the choice of aluminium has a great influence on the quality of the aluminium composite panel.
Aluminium composite sheets have strict requirements on the variety of aluminium base material specifications, chemical composition, mechanical properties, dimensional deviation and appearance quality. The national standard clearly requires that the thickness of the aluminium plate in the aluminium composite panel acp for curtain wall should not be less than 0.5㎜, and the material performance should be in line with the 3000 series or 3000 series (such as 5000 series) of rust-proof alloy aluminium as required by GB/T3880, and should not use 1100 series of pure aluminium.
From the point of view of the use of aluminium composite materials for curtain wall, the selection of aluminium should focus on the wind pressure resistance and fatigue strength of aluminium composite panel acp, which is because the fastening bolts and aluminium composite panel form a shear force, in addition, the bending place is a test of fatigue strength due to the action of wind load. Therefore the shear strength and fatigue strength of aluminium is very critical. After comparing the performance of different grades of aluminium strip, it can be seen that the shear strength and fatigue strength of 1100 pure aluminium are not as good as 3003 alloy aluminium, so the aluminium strip used for curtain wall aluminium composite panel should not be chosen from 1100 pure aluminium. 3××××, 5×××× type alloy aluminium has rust and corrosion resistance, especially 5005 type alloy aluminium, in coastal areas can resist the rust of salt water spray.

In addition, from the point of view of the production of aluminium composite panels, aluminium in the process of painting also needs to be cured at high temperatures, in this condition the state of aluminium will change, while aluminium will be deformed to different degrees, the degree of deformation with the curing temperature, heating time and other process parameters and different. Different grades of aluminium are affected by temperature and the degree of deformation varies. According to the actual production experience, 1100 series pure aluminium is much worse than 3003 or 5005 series alloy aluminium in terms of deformation and flexibility at high temperatures during production and processing. Therefore, when using 1100 series aluminium for painting, some manufacturers have to reduce the baking temperature of the paint to meet the requirements of the plate shape and yield, thus sacrificing the important coating performance.

Aluminum composite panel is made of multi-layer materials, the upper and lower layer is high purity aluminum alloy panel, the middle is non-toxic low density polyethylene (PE) core panel, and its front side is also pasted with a protective film.
