The appearance of aluminum composite panels, with its excellent materials, rich colors, easy to transport and easy to process, and large-scale continuous production and superior cost performance, has created a new world of modern architectural decoration.

In the 1980s, advanced countries such as the United States and Japan began to build aluminum composite panel production plants. Modern large-scale buildings with strong silver-gray metal texture and strong visual sense appear in the land of Europe and Asia. Foreign brands such as Arkuk, Reynolds and Mitsubishi have also entered the Chinese market.

In the 1990s, entrepreneurs in coastal open areas explored and borrowed from single-piece cold press forming to continuous hot composite production, step by step to maturity. In the mid-1990s, China introduced the advanced large-scale production line for the first time, which opened the prelude to the modern large-scale production of aluminum composite panels in mainland China. The whole industry began to grow and grow in the introduction, digestion, absorption and innovation. In the past 15 years, China's aluminum composite panels started from zero and formed a production capacity of nearly 450 million square meters per year. It has become the world's largest producer of aluminum composite panels, with the largest amount of use and the largest export volume.

In the process of rapid development, from 1997 to 2001, the potential and prospects of the whole industry were demonstrated at an annual rate of more than 45%. In the competition with foreign counterparts, the leader in the industry, from 2002 to 2003, exports increased by 130 times.

At present, there are more than 300 aluminum composite board enterprises in the country. According to the national statistical caliber (all state-owned and non-state-owned industrial enterprises with annual sales income of more than 5 million yuan), there are 204 aluminum-plastic composite panel manufacturing enterprises, of which non-state-owned enterprises exceed 80%, mainly distributed in Guangdong, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong, Jiangxi and other places. In 2009, the annual sales of the whole industry was nearly 23 billion yuan, and the annual output of aluminum-plastic composite panels was about 240 million square meters, ranking first in the world, accounting for more than 90% of the world's total output.
China is currently the world's largest producer, consumer and exporter of aluminum composite panels, and the quality of some companies has reached or exceeded the level of advanced countries.
